Taylor Grand Symphony Acoustic Guitars represent another milestone in acoustic instrument design. It was time for Bob Taylor to make another concrete statement in acoustic guitar design - just as he did in 1994 with the ground-breaking Grand Auditorium. The Grand Symphony, a true- player's instrument, is the biggest-sounding Taylor ever, with massive low end. The waist is pushed forward a bit, and the lower bout is even bigger. The resulting tone and sensitivity, combined with a fantastic selection of wood combinations, makes for an instrument that sounds as individual as your personal style. Complete with ivoroid binding, gold tuners, and a gorgeous custom hardshell case.

The Big Leaf maple/Sitka spruce combination is stunning from first glance, and clear and articulate from first listen. If you thought you knew the maple guitar sound, think again.
Woods
Top: Sitka Spruce
Back & Sides: Big Leaf Maple

GS Body Shape
Though you might see similarities to a Grand Auditorium, the GS is unique in both sound and shape. Significant changes in its geometry yield a deeper, more piano-like bass. A wider lower bout and higher, wider waist return ample volume and low-end sustain, in symphony with fuller mids and balanced highs.

Gloss Finish
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
